      CNC machine tools produced by CNC machine tool manufacturers have the following outstanding advantages over traditional machine tools, and these advantages come from the power of the computer included in the CNC system. It can process complex parts such as curves and curved surfaces that cannot be processed by traditional machine tools.

      Numerical control of machine tools is also the basis for the implementation of enterprise information transformation such as FMC (flexible manufacturing unit), FMS (flexible manufacturing system) and CIMS (computer integrated manufacturing system). Numerical control technology has become the core technology and basic technology of manufacturing automation.

      CNC machine tools

      The main contents of NC transformation of machine tools and production lines are as follows:

      (1) It is to restore the original function, diagnose and restore the faulty parts of the machine tool and production line;

      (2) It is NC, adding digital display device on ordinary machine tools, or adding numerical control system to transform into NC machine tools and CNC machine tools;

      (3) Refurbishment.       Contents of NC transformation of machine tools

      The third transformation method is based on the numerical control transformation of a lathe as an example, and the main contents and main structural forms of the transformation are introduced in combination with the actual operation of our company in the transformation of machine tools.

      1.Reconstruction of the feed axis

      The X and Z axes of ordinary lathes are driven by the same motor, and the tool movement is transmitted through the tool box to the lead screw and the slide box to obtain different workpiece pitches, that is, the Z axis movement; the tool movement is transmitted to the light box and slide Box, get X-axis movement with different feeds. Generally, when removing the numerical control of ordinary lathes, the tool box and slide box are removed, and the feed servo (or stepping) drive chain is used instead. The specific embodiment is:

      Z axis: longitudinal motor → reduction gear box (or coupling) → vertical ball screw → large carriage, longitudinally according to the numerical control instructions to obtain different feed and pitch.

      X axis: horizontal motor → gearbox (or coupling) → horizontal ball screw → horizontal slide, according to the numerical control instructions in the horizontal direction to obtain different cutting amounts.

      After the transformation, the transmission accuracy of the entire transmission chain has a great relationship with the selection and arrangement of the ball screw pair and the accuracy of the machine tool guideway under the premise of ensuring the machine tool rigidity.

      2.Reconstruction of the main shaft

      The lathe spindle drives the workpiece to rotate at different speeds. This is the main movement in turning and consumes most of the power of the machine tool. Ordinary lathes are driven by a main motor via a belt, and the main shaft is driven by the main shaft gearbox to rotate. The main shaft box is manually or automatically shifted to obtain (9 to 24) speeds. The speed and forward and reverse rotation of the main shaft are controlled by electromagnetic or hydraulic clutches. The box is composed of an electric spindle or a traditional mechanical spindle unit plus a variable frequency motor and a frequency converter. For ordinary lathes, the original headstock is retained in most cases during NC transformation, with no changes or minor changes. If you need to change, pay attention to the following points:

      If the original spindle contains the functions of variable speed, forward and reverse rotation and lubrication of the hydraulically controlled spindle, it needs to be equipped with a separate ordinary motor to drive it to prevent the hydraulic system from malfunctioning due to the forward and reverse rotation of the main motor or the rotation speed change.

      If the original mechanical speed change is not required, the gear set in the headstock needs to be fixed on a constant speed chain, and the friction plate should also be welded to avoid accidents due to misoperation.

      Whether the machine tool can perform thread processing is another important part of the numerical control transformation of the main shaft part. Traditional thread lathes often use threaded wheels to process threads. Processing different threads requires different wheeled wheels, which is very troublesome to operate.

      3.Reconstruction of the knife section

      At present, the turret of a CNC lathe is basically an electric turret, which is characterized by more accurate and rapid positioning. Older traditional lathe tool holders are mostly manual, hydraulically driven or a small part of electric, which can be replaced as needed during the transformation.

      The electric tool post can be divided into a horizontal turret tool post (generally installed 8 to 12 knives) and a vertical electric tool post. The vertical electric tool post has four stations (or six stations), each of which There are two types of knife-lifting tool holders (end gears) and non-lifting tool holders (three-end gear wheels). The horizontal turret tool post is relatively expensive, and vertical four-station electric tool post is commonly used in the transformation.

      4.Reconstruction of lubrication part

      In addition to the headstock of the old-fashioned traditional lathes, the multi-purpose oil guns such as guide rails, lead screw pairs, and smooth rods are regularly lubricated and lubricated with grease. This is unfavorable for the accuracy of the guide rails and lead screw pairs of the machine tool, and the machine tool is stable under the same drive Sex, flexibility is also worse.

      5. Machine tool protection

      After the transformation of the machine tool, the entire protection is divided into local protection, semi-protection and full protection.

      Local protection is only taken for the screw pair, motor, and wiring. Semi-protection is to increase the protection of cutting on the basis of local protection, that is, to increase the chip blocking device. Full protection means that the entire machine tool is closed on the basis of local protection. This protection is the most difficult to deal with, and many factors are considered, such as installation position, waterproof, and beautiful. In practice, the former two types are the most numerous and the easiest to operate.
